The Internet, Taxes, and the GOP Platform

The GOP Platform Committee recently approved an Internet policy that strongly opposes new tax policies that would burden American businesses. Their platform states, "We should consistently support Internet policies that allow people and private enterprise to thrive, without providing new and expanded government power to tax and regulate so that the internet does not become the vehicle for a dramatic expansion of government power."

We thank the GOP Platform Committee for their commitment to protecting small online retailers who are threatened by Internet sales tax policies that favor big business. Unfair Internet tax policies threaten to kill the growth and job creation potential of small online retailers, and We R Here will continue to monitor and engage in US Internet sales tax legislation to keep you informed on upcoming changes.
